I've been asked to tile a kitchen floor. The floor is a suspended wooden floor that has been covered in vinyl tiles - which are still well stuck down even though they were laid 40 years ago. The main problem is that when the washing machine is going through its spin cycle you can feel a vibration going through the entire floor.
Do you experienced tilers think that it would be safe to tile this floor in large ceramic tiles using flexible grout, or is the vibration going to loosen them?

Regards to all

Iain
