Dri coat is only in the downstairs bathrooms. Bathroom tiles are them approx 9x3 chamfered brick effect tiles

Why was sir ramic getting all hot and bothered about hardwall, is it a big no no in the tiling world ?

Look I have given you the PDF files for Hard wall and dri coat... they are different. No you cant tile direct to Hardwall but you can to Dri Wall.

I think you owe Polishtradesman and other Polish workers an apology for your remark by the way.

Calm down, calm down. I was only asking for some advice. I mentioned 4 time it was dri coat. I just didn't want to mess up my 1st big job so I wanted to consult the experts, i.e yourselves 😳

I second that!

You didnt actually mention it in post 8, you said "Cheers sir ramie, that's the stuff. He had to use it because the house had caught rising damp. Turns out he was correct after all.

Should I still Pva the back of the tiles ?

Thanks again"
which was in reference to the PDF file for HARDWALL

Ok ok you didn't realise I had mentioned a few times I mentioned it was dri coat. At the end of the day I was only asking for advice. What's the post editing thing about by the way ?
i didn't use any bad language ?

I'm sorry that I seem to have got your backs up lads by asking for advice but I think you will also see that I never mentioned polish workers in the thread

irish plasterer. there worse than the eastern euros. at least some of the jobs iv seen lately.
1/2" build up in the corners on new stud and slab.

Thaks all. Just spoken to the plasterer and he says it's hardwall. I have to say it is very flat. He tiles himself and says its a perfect surface to tile onto

Andy. I will Pva the back of the tiles if you think that will help. My instructor never mentioned this on the course.

Alan m. I have always heard that Irish tradesmen were some of the best. I know the Easterns are rubbish.

Thanks again
happy tiling:hurray:

So what is an Eastern ?

Is this guy being rude to other races ??

Am I being picked on because I'm a newbie ?

actually in this case i gave them (european members from the easern side of europe, nothing rasist about that)a compliment . lots of irish plasterers are great but some are not. .

I think you have the advice you need, I also suggest you read loads of posts within the forums , as you might have just bit off more than you can chew after only 3 days of very basic training.

Thank you Alan, could you all please be careful how you write these things down. Txt can be read different to how you meant it to be.

The member bungle or Waseem as he was known as... has been removed.. he is a plasterer by trade and was doing nothing but trying to get a reaction from tilers forums members.. basicly he is a TROLL... i will be adding his IP to a spam forum and hopefully others will ban him as well...

We will not tolerate TROLLS full stop..

I will leave this thread visible for a warning to others...
