Sticking Foamex boards to tiles.

Hello Guys,

I've been tasked with a quick and cheap refit of a shower / room for a pal. I'm thinking the quickest and easiest thing to make it look half presentable is to use foamex or similar product straight over the tiles, just like in the travelodge re-furbs.

Can anyone suggest the best product for attaching the foamex?

Thanks in advance.

J

Yes you should and quick and cheap will most likely lead to a long drawn out and expensive repir in the not so distant future.

As much as I completely agree with you. I re-did this shower about 18 months ago for the pal, previous installer had used plasterboard which disintegrated. I ripped it all out, aqua panelled it all and re-tilled. Unfortunately, since then a bloody great hole has been ripped into the wall and the previous tenants destroyed the shower cubical. It's really about a suitable fix and very economical as a short term measure until it can all be done properly 🙂

Never used Foamex boards for this type of scenario. Only for POS boards.

If it were me, Selkie boards is the way I would go
