Safety Glasses

Always wear you safety glasses when cutting tiles...

I spend my Sat night at the eye hospital getting a small tile chip removed :mad2:😳

It's ok now but it could have been much worse :yikes:

I always have my safety glasses on my head but they fell off and I needed to cut a tile quick so did it without then 😳

But yes , you should wear safety specs..

I wear my Oakley sunglasses for all DIY matters. apparently they are bullet proof. I don't fancy getting shot in the eye tho :yikes:

I did get on with it, I did it at 1pm and was forced to the hospital at 8pm by my girlfriend because I looked like I had been beaten up :lol:

How many times over the years have you moved when something comes flying off a cut tile, I am not saying us fixers have a spider sense Mark but we seem to be able to dodge the flying bits, and if we don't then we always have the other eye.

Ditto Dom, must be a learned reaction, having said that I know two tilers who have lost an eye:yikes:

Never use to wear them as i had the goggle style ones and they used to steam up as soon as you put them on and obscure your vision! Then i got a piece of glaze in my eye, and being able to watch the tweezers remove it as the doctor did so I then invested in a pair of cool dood safety specs:smart: they even magnify I find i leave them on now as its great for reading measurements and going to the bathroom :lol:
