plasterers and builders use it over here, and it's an old myth to use it as a primer for tiling but unfortunatley a lot of people still tile with it.

No reason to be confused..It's used for many things..Night,Night..Oh, you're confusing me now, I thought Weldbond was Polyvinyl Acetate, the woodglue? I only know of it as my mosaic friends in America use it ... yes, this is the link... same stuff then... FAQ | WELDBOND® I had never heard it being called concrete bonding liquid before.. anyhow, bedtime for me..
yep...Is" PVA" Poly vinyl acetate? Or Horse fat..AKA wood glue..Elmers glue..?
Has anyone ever heard of mixing pva with grout. Ive heard its supposed to minimise cracks, where the tiles are already laid onto suspect substrates.
Of course you can! It actually mentrions it on the bottle. Used it heaps of times.Never heard of that before and personally wouldn't recommend it, the PVA could adversely affect the properties of the grout. If you're going to put anything in then buy a proper grout additive, PVA is wood glue.
