I heard that BCT lost 5 Mill last year so they might be teetering as well.
Nicobond have lots of stock of pilks Gary so you might want to get your order in quick for those tiles mate.

it shows how bad it is,my 2 local tile sheds claim it has been dead for the last few weeks:mad2:

Wow that is a shock, Pilks were a real part of UK tile industry. I believe Quilligotti had some involvement:yikes:

Pilks were Pilks in name only they were bought by an indian owned co i believe afew years ago now, heavy retail involvment in bnq cant of helped as people stopped spending their money and their architectural side not as sharp as Johnsons. Shame to see the name go though.

,

it was and still is owned by the Whiteley bros, one died of a heart attack and the other kept it going so I believe.

Gutted to hear about this. Another great company has gone under. My thoughts go out to all the staff and their families.

I can't remember the last time I fixed a Pilkington tile - that shows how popular I found them - then again I use their Dorset range:yikes:

Spoke to manager at CTD today.. he is not happy as they have just done out showroom in 70 % of the kitchen range in pilks..😳

If you do go to BCT tiles, give me a shout. We do alot with BCT and should have just about the best prices around

Always were bad quality tiles in my view if i tiled with there attitude I would also be bankrupt

very expensive tiles for the quality , alot of their range were buy ins from spanish factories, i inquired about one of their tiles for a job we have and the next thing i knew the rep had contacted the designer with out telling me so i was a bit miffed,
