OK small problem

I will be tiling a swimming pool soon that has 600x600 tiles from the top of the pool wall's then 900 down from them mosaic ,how can i fix a wooden batten to support the 600x600 's and not puncture the tanking ? any good ideas please guys

Could you not just cut 2 vertical battens for each tile Dave, from the pool floor to the underside of the tile?

No it will be to tile all four walls around the pool upwards from 900 Bri

Raimondi do some wall levelling guides called maxi krik Krok. They go from 560 mm to 1000mm. They can be found on a website called kwiksplit. Hope that helps.

Just one tile down, apply gaffa tape to the one above, that would hold it till addy sets?

ping your datum on the walls and then "prop up" a straight egde with timber/plasterboard props etc....

or am i missing something?

Stick them on with Bal variset.. then your son only has to stand holding the tile in place for 5 mins at a time :lol:

How wide is the pool? You could ping line as lee suggests then brace each side with timber from one end to another spanning the width.... If not too wide!

Fill the pool to the line then float plastic batten stands lol

Cut a batten the length of the wall your tiling, then cut 2 or how ever many uprights you need to go up to this batten? seeeemples 🙂

In tricky situations like this I get the glue gun out. cant beat a few blobs all along my mdf battons. stays on the wall too not too high. covered by adhesive. strong as hell too.

Yhis is what i would use then if i had a problem I would use a Glazing chanel with props

why not bring the mosaic up first when set put the 600x600 on to them
