In need of advice

just after abit of advice on what people think of my situation and also is my price fair
I've previously tiled 3 shops all part of the same chain for a small shop fitting company
All previous shops have been between 50-60 m2 600x600 porcelain, labour only working away from home. Diggs already paid for
No prep work needed as has all been completed to my instruction.
I tiled the previous ones for £25m2
Labour before cis and now I've tiled the 4th one. They've refused my invoice saying I'm to expensive and there only willing to pay £20m2
I know I should have sorted it in writing 1st but just trusted the firm to pay the same rate
Also just after people thoughts on what they would be charging for similar work

I personally think you need the £25 working away from home aswell ,bet they wont tell you what they are charging thei client, tell them to take the hit if things are tightening up

Seems a fair price to me. ...However if you have nothing in writing then you leave yourself open to this kind of hassle, unfortunately.....good luck with trying to get your money...

I'd take the £20/mt straight away, get it cleared, then refuse to do any more for them!
For £300 I'd rather have £1200 in the bank then decide the way forward. Without it confirmed and in writing you are fighting a losing cause and it would seem as though you won't be getting any more at your 'old' rate.

Same as TJ, get the money then drop them as a contact. Don't do it in a rude way by burning the bridge, be professional and get some money, 80% is considerably better than 0%!

I'm with john, I worked away up Glasgow, digs paid, 80m2 at £20 m2 labour only,60x60 porca, on my own 3 1/2 days , and the 1st day this was the floor

Decent money, 12 hour days then just until 12 lunch time on the Thursday [emoji106]

If your working away from home then you need put the hours in then get razzled in the evening:8:

Cheers for the replies
I got it sorted we agreed on the £20 per meter plus he paid all expenses so not much difference in the total plus no bridges got burnt
