how much would you guys charge to lay

un-coupling membrane per m2 or do you cut/lay it on daywork ?.
and how much for priming ply ?.
i was thinking along the lines of £5.00 per m2 for the membrane :hurray:. And say £2-3 per m2 for priming ,but hay i do pools! you top tile mechanics know all about this everyday in your work , so if any guys could give me a guide i would appreciate it :lol: thanks fellers .

depending on the size of area, it usually is a day rate.. i like to leave to fully set before tiling onto it, because if a tile needs lifting for adjustment etc then it will pull up the membrane if tiled onto before it has set.

Around a fiver a mtr is ok to me 🙂

if i supply ditra mat , flex adhesive to fix mat and cover top of mat. cost of labour/ditra/flex adhesive @
20.50 per sq mt. but this is based on quite big areas.
there is a difference in labour cost and material cost if you are only quoting to fix mat and not cover top.
ie it will be less.
as a guage if you use an even 6mm notch and cover top of mat as well as underside a bag of adhesive will cover 4.00sq mts.this is based on ordinary good adhesives in budget range.
if you were using bal/ardex or similar that use more water you will get better coverage. hope this of help

Thanks again Jonny, its labour only, which is great as no worries with outlaying to much money,(who wants to pay V A T :yikes: ) and its a bit of commitment from the other side ,we should have met up and gone for Beer/meal i have just looked at your location after your last post,if i get anyone work around there we should meet up ?, the guy was very pleased with my work :smilewinkgrin: and i posted a few flyers on new builds there that i passed

ok , labour only to fix ditra mat I charge £ 8.00 per sq mt on areas over 40 sq mts.
but that is based on supplying mat as well hwere i make some margin.
£ 8.00 would be too low , labour only and areas under 40.00 sq mts . but my costs include covering mat as well. this takes much longer.
if i supply pecilastic / labour to fix and adhesive. @ £ 17.00 per sq mt.
primer cost and labour to prime thrown in.
call me if your round my way again as would love to see how you go about doing pools.

no worries jonny , i think you have a great market around that area, acres of natural stone to be fixed and luxurious bathrooms i stayed at Day's -inns brand new services on the M25 junction 9/10 its got the Biggest petrol-station in the UK !!! 39 pumps :lol::lol::lol:.
