Just wondering what everyone charges?I have been Tiling for 2 years so when i do homers i would usually charge £12 m2 unless im doing kitchen walls or something.I have never had to do a job with marble etc.£12-£15 is usually the rate in N.Ireland i think.

Thats horrenendously low. If your good your selling yourself short there man.
I wouldnt do anything for less than £20 per square metre.

indeed its does seem low. Floors around 25 depending on tile and type and condition of substrate plus complexity. Ie lots of doors, recess cupboards and stuff like that. Walls, 20 but same applies id say. All jobs are different

thats well low mate i started off at 18m2 but now i've got a good name for myself its £25 m2 .normal kitchen splash backs around 4 -5m day rate £150 and floors £100 anything less then 4m. i.e. lots of the bathrooms i do the floors are ony 3m so i call it £100 over 4m the £25m2 rule applys

shaun ......

I did a 3 sqm kitchen splashback for £200 plus mats...... so that makes me £66.66 per sqm 😛

As a rule of thumb I used to charge....

£25 per meter flat rate always PLUS materials ALWAYS using BAL and NEVER taking rubish.

I used to tough customers extra work and get extra cash out of those where possible with 'tanking talks' and photo's of before afters in bas moudly old showers that i'd done. And i'd dot and dab and even do studied walls (both really easy to do and can gain you a week job out of a 3 day job - always nice for pushing your book dates weeks ahead of you giving you more guaranteed income).

£35 per meter stone - earn a bit on sealers and treatments and preps where possible too.
£40 for Diamond floor or walls. £45 for Octagon and 'dot' affair's.

Always would include re-fisning old bathroom cabinets or curtain poles or loo role holder and even some new.

Always would clean up daily no matter how nackard I was.

Always used to insist I stood with the customer and waffled with them for at least half hour no matter how much of a rush I was in at the quote stage and used to tell them all about their job and other jobs i'd done similar where the 'feel, felt, found' tecnique i've mentioned on here always came into action.

Checkout this price list that OUT OF DATE NOW TOO....

I usually charge either/or per metre or day rate. A 20 sq metre bathroom at £20 a metre would gross £400 and a short week ( more leisure time is my motto ), yet you would not do a 3.5 kitchen with lots of sockets in a 100mm tile on a metre rate so I charge a day rate of £100 plus materials. A developer asked me if I was interested in doing some apartments a while ago and was prepard to pay £20 a metre less materials. Not bad for the 18 metre bathrooms but rubbish for the 3.5 metre kitchens. £430 less materials £60 for a very full week.
