Perhaps you could contact some bathroom shops, independant tile merhcants and kitchen businesses in your area. If you can get some work before you go out on your own you will be off to a better start.

If you are still working try to get some weekend jobs from some local business/ tradesmen and you will get an idea as to how much work they can provide for you etc and then decide whether or not it would be viable for you to start up at this time.
