GRRR..Plumbers

Tiling a shower enclosure on friday with large format tiles brick bond. Went back today to grout & Silicon etc. I asked the plumber on site if he could fit the screen as i needed to put some chrome trim above the frame to the ceiling. He had already put the frame work onto the walls before i started and asked me to tile up to it covering the screws fixing it to the wall.. He went to fit the shower doors today then realised he could not get them in :mad2: He should of fitted them once it had been tiled...As it said in the instructions frame 'MUST BE FITTED ONCE TILING IS COMPLETED'.. Oh thats ok just take a row off on side he said!! FFS :incazzato:Customer not happy as she wanted it working as she has family coming for christmas, and there are no more tiles left and supplier can not get any until after christmas...I cant tell you what the women called the plumber...but it sounded like Stupid Plucker :lol:

What a muppet... Don't get me started about plumbers after the day I've had. The semi educated gorilla that I had to put up with today was just stupid, stupid, stupid! took a 10k run and 30 minutes in the steam room to get him out my system......

I started a job last Wednesday and because of the 'plumber' I still haven't laid a tile! It's taken 5 days to first fix it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The bane of my life!!!!

The plumber on my job wanted me to lift a line of tiles 8 metres long so he could run a water supply for the fridge that he forgot to put in. Told me it was only a two minute job and I could put them back down as soon as he was finished......

Too right I did... This is the same muppet that flooded the job on Saturday and put me a day behind at the start. It's in my terms and conditions that any tiles that has to be replaced due to damage by other trades will be charged at £75 per tile, payable by the customer! Customer having it surface mounted and it will be hidden by the kitchen when fitted.

We had a cracker with the plumbers on friday in Turnberry.

They couldnt get the drain test to hold so they decided to bung the stack & fill the whole stack up with water to the 1st floor ceiling to try & find the leak.

You can guess what happened next,

Blew the 4inch pipe in the master en-suite all over our tiled floor with electric UFH. 😳

Some plumbers are great,lol.
On 2nd January i was due to start a weeks work 1.5 hours away but the plumber has let the customer down so it's the 3rd week of january now and i'll squeeze in a job 7 miles away to kickstart the new year... :smilewinkgrin:
