I spent just over 50 mins on the phone today. First of all I thought it was a contractor looking for tilers, but 15 minutes into the call the guy revealed that he worked for a website called CUSTOMERSTREET.COM....aka TILINGANDCERAMICS.COM.......aka SMILELOCAL.COM......aka UFINDUS.COM.....aka MOREUK.COM.....the list probably goes on and on. Nice guy to begin with, but then turned into hard sales act about 30 mins later!!! To join their marketing websites now costs £300+vat, then it's £60+vat a month. Saying that, you do get your own account manager who will call you each month to see how things are going!!!! They will set up your website and you can log in whenever you want to see how many people have visited your site. The websites he got me to look at were really crap, but I had already made up my mind I would not be parting with my money. He suggested that he could try and reduce the price, but he would probably get sacked for it. I mentioned tilersforums.com and that I would ask you guys & girls if you had any dealings with this company. He was then desperate to close the deal and said that he would give me 2 domain names for free. He then started getting prompts from one of his mates and his tone of voice changed to desperation. I asked him where he got my name…………….Tile Business Network for Tilers Tiling and Tiles !!!! He then added that there was a member of the forum that uses CUSTOMERSTREET.COM and he was very pleased with the amount of customers generated. I asked for the forum members name, but he would not give it to me. Anyway, £1200 for the first years subscription to belong to a group of websites that I have never heard of sounds a bit steep. Looks like a few us were on their list today, I had a bird on the phone to me on my mobile for 1 1/2 hours last time luckily I was on the motorway bored so just kept talking to her!

Todays call was a bloke and lasted all of 20 seconds.
