A Tilers Day Off

I am rubbish at chilling out and doing nothing, I more often than not tidy up the garage and wash the van, I made a vase out of travertine the other week 😀 fixed the toilet seat yesterday, it had a dodgey hinge. Today I'm putting. A best mans speech for next month on to crib cards, might make another vase this afternoon!

I'm an expert at chilling out....lol

Now my kids are getting older and hanging out with dad is lame....I get more me time.....which is spent on going out on my motorcycle or watching a good film or yhe rugby....🙂

What did you 'glue' it with? Adhesive?
Silicon, not the best to be honest, it has worked though. I used sandstone grout to fill the edges and it's a bit dark, I'll use jasmine or limestone on the next one. I made it as a customer said they might be interested in one so I had to see how long it would take to get a value for it. One thing I would say is a good quality stone is essential, this trav was a bit holey, which made the edges look a bit untidy after bullnosing. Not bad for a first go.

Nice job Bri,
Thought u'd be trying Tenax!

If I'd had some to hand I'd have used it, it was a bit of a "use what's in the garage" type thing !
Ah ok! 😀
Mind u projects like that normally work out best!
We all know what happens when u plan something, especially on your day off! Haha

Events over the last 18 -24 months have shown me there is more to life than work. I do what work I have to do to pay bills etc and sometimes a little extra but rarely work weekends and if there is time off in the week then I can always find plenty to do .

Me and Widler tiled a 37m floor yesterday and Craig god bless the lad was back there grouting it by 7 o'clock this morning...by the time I turned up with the brews and sausage and egg butties this morning he'd finished it, just a final swipe over with the washboys and we were away...then off to tile shop to grab some ady for tomorrow.
Day off......PAH!!!
