Hi all, am considering buying some 110v power tools, but am at a loss as to which transformer to buy. They are all at different kva rating and i know nothing about volts and amps!!! It will be used for drills and fein multitool and wet saw mainly. Does anyone know what the kva means for me or which i should buy?? All help appreciated.

I think mine is a 3.3 kVA one and it runs all my tools without a power drop, just make sure your extension cables are unwound fully, espescially if using halogen lamps:thumbsup:

Kva is the rating, the higher the rating ie 1 kva as opposed to 5 kva will not run as many tools, I have 4 transformers, the smaller ones are fine for every day work as in running the cutter and drill, site work requires the larger tranny (ooh ere missus) which will run my lights and power tools without having too much off a drop in power.

lol David, sometimes developers don't/won't provide lighting, always have my own, just in case:smilewinkgrin:

you had me worried doug,i was beginning to think you where doing the nightshift:yikes:
