has anyone got there website listed with yell.com, if so whats it like?, do you get alot of work from it?

what do you think of yell.com, is it a complete waste of money?

seems like alot (approx £150 a year) just to have your web site listed, under yell.com, but will it get your web site seen by more people wanting work done?

i wouldn't bother i advertised through yellow pages for a few years when if started out i always ask customers how they heard about me and most of the time its word of mouth the best advert there is. nobody ever said yellow pages or yell.

I'm the same, very very few jobs from it.
Although I got one last month which I squeezed in between other jobs.
I agreed to a reduced package this year.

my son made a website for me a couple of months ago and somehow yell got my details, they pestered me to advertise with them and i received lots of other calls off companies offering their services, i had to register with the tps t0 get rid of them. i wouldn't touch yell with a barge pole

Ive got an advertisement with yell.com, all i used was there free service advert and its got ALL my details on there, Logo, telephone, mobile and website as its free i cant actually complain over it and ive not received anyone calling me to upgrade etc i do get a handy amount of jobs out of it

yeah same here beetiling.All free but gotta admit keep getting phone calls from yell etc wanting clarifications on my details which can get annoying
