Afternoon people!

Priced a job last night and starting the job next week but the road is permit holders parking only.

Has anyone come across this and how do you go about parking on the street outside the job?

As above, I will often be given a paper pass and you tick off the day, month & year so they can't be used again.

Hi, I have done permit work in the centre of chester. Parking permits can usually be obtained fro the council. In chester they issue a £10 a day trade permit, which even allows you to park on double yellow outside the place of work. But I have also done work using a guest permit supplied by the house owner for the duration of the job. Ask your customer to see if they will supply you with a permit or contact the local council office for advice.

Ask customer for parking permit and put this in your quote that they are yo supply this . As @Plan Tec Tiling says they may supply you with a scratch card type day permit but some councils are going electronic and the householder will have to register your vehicle via council website .

If you use the scratch card type day permit make sure you don't leave the previous days permits in the windscreen as a traffic warden's brain will scrambled if he sees more than one permit and will likely end up in a PCN and make sure it not upside down

Actually that probably applies to all pay and display tickets period

I always put in the quote - parking charges at cost passed on to client. Then it's up to them to either provide parking permits or you can get waiver from council at cost and then time for you to do it all passed on to client. Never had a problem if explained up front.
