Hello-I hope you can give me some advice?-6 months ago we had Topps Travertine tiles laid-within a week they started to show hairline cracks. The tiler blames the tiles, Topps blames the tiler. Neither will take responsibility-how can we ascertain who should put things right?

Presumably your contract is with the tiler who installed them. Your "negotiations" should be with him.

What is the substrate?

The majority potion of the blame if not all has to be on the tilers shoulders.Did he seal them?

Depends on what the full curcumstances are. I agree all negotiations should follow the contract chain so as I said presumably the tiler. It may be that he is blameless.

possibly not enough adhesive coverage on the tile and pressure is causing the cracks to appear,,especially veiny trav can sometimes break easily i find through the veins
