Hi, I have purchased some tiles online and was going to stick them up this weekend but my friend told me a shouldn't use the adhesive in the tub I bought from wickes, because the tiles are too big, but when I asked wickes they said it would be ok, not sure what advise is best can anyone help, I found this page by googling tile advice so i'm sure someone can tell me. Thank you.

Thank you for helping, the tiles are Montbello wall tiles, i bought them from total tiles https://totaltiles.co.uk/montebello-carrara-wall-tile.html and the adhesive that I bought is this one Wickes Waterproof Wall Tile Adhesive 10L | Wickes.co.uk - http://www.wickes.co.uk/Wickes-Waterproof-Wall-Tile-Adhesive-10L/p/230626 it is a bathroom with a shower in so I guess that's what you mean by a wet area?

Yes, too big really for dispersion (tubbed) adhesive. Basically it relies on the adhesive drying out rather than a chemical reaction as cement based adhesive does. Pick up some bagged cement based standard setting tile adhesive instead.

Ok thank you all, It's a bit trickier than I originally thought, I found these where I bought the tiles (is this what you mean) Standard Set Flexible Plus White Floor & Wall Tile Adhesive S1 Grade - https://totaltiles.co.uk/standard-set-flexible-plus-white-floor-wall-tile-adhesive-s1-grade.html but I can't find it locally and to buy from web is expensive delivery charges., I have found this one when i searched web Topps Tiles White Slow Set Wall & Floor Adhesive | Topps Tiles - http://www.toppstiles.co.uk/tprod40426/topps-tiles-white-slow-set-wall-and-floor-adhesive.html is it ok? I'm beginning to think it maybe easier to get a tiler, how much would it cost roughly, my father measured it and we ordered 19 square meters for the walls. Thanks for your help guys.
