You got to love what some people do. Was doing a shower change over yesterday & noticed a lot of movement in the floor & a cracked tile. Customer asked if I could replace the cracked tile so lifted it to find it was tiled onto an unsecured MDF substrate. Removing the tile was moving the whole floor. No idea what the fitter used as an adhesive & more so, what he used to apply it. Looks like it was applied with a jagged Evo stick impact adhesive spreader. Grout was also the adhesive which is the only thing holding the floor in place.

Ah, the good old DIY'er will keep us in business for many years to come!

well im finished, job took longer, glad its over ! shower gone. bath move 90 deg.

Thanks for the comments guys, I'm still learning and have to thank this site for pointing me in the right direction for materials to use and how to do it properly.

As you walk in the I wanted the bath panel and the boxing in to flow with the floor, and not the bath wall, as it was the focal point as you walk in, and the bath screen coverd the landscape wall so just seemed right to me.

nice one on the tiling,

who fitted the towel rail tho? chrome pipe would have looked alot better and the pipes should have come out the wall behind the rail like i have here, I DID NOT fit the bottom row of tiles on this wall by the way, my farther did and the customer wouldnt let me take them off and re do them lol..

i fitted towel rail, and chrome covers went over pipes, didn't fancy chasing them in the external wall, and with the towel rail the height you have, it would have looked terrible with pipes up the wall !
