Hi Guys and Ladies,

I am cracking on with my first big job. I have tiled the main wall behind the bath and wonder if I should at this stage Silicon the corner prior to tiling the adjoining wall, the tiles are 10mm porc and I have the feeling that once I tile the other wall, the silicon will not find its way around the bend and into the corner. Similarly, should I silicon the join between the wall and the shelf prior to grouting? I am probably being anal, but want to get it right. Picture attached shows the corner I am referring to.
Thank you in anticipation.

Steve H

Siliconing the wall now is fine, the gap on your shelf looks a bit on the wide side, 3 mm is about right to get a nice clean Silicon line, if its too wide then the Silicon can look unsightly.

As said ,will not hurt doing some now,if you feel it would give you more confidence in the works, nothing worse than doing a job and having a niggling feeling about some part of it but I would do afterwards
