Is it walls or floors.
100m - is that sq metes or linear metres.
What size tile is 'old stuff' and what size tile will the 'new' tiles be.
Inside or out.
What is the substrate.

Sorry for being a bit vauge (I am new) my job is a terrace in spain, on three sides of the house, the reasons for replacing, there are four different size and shades as all were done at different times, and the edge is bricked and I want to take the tiles right up to the edge, with an edging tile. The exsisting tiles are are sound and firm, my question boils down to what adhisive would be suitable for sticking to the existing tiles. I'd be greatfull for any advice.

if you are totally sure there is no chance of the existing tiles coming up then mapei keraflex a good flexible adhesive should be fine!
what size of tiles are you laying and what type?

Thanks for that David, the tiles I am laying quite big 9 per one and a half sq M, as I said in my first post, all three teraces have different shades & sizes an outside kitchen was also added so you can appreciate how missmached it is. I am confident they are all firm but was concerned about the adhisive sticking to a glased ceramic.

Ken, try to score (or key) the surface of the ceramics that are already down and give them a good wash with sugar soap
