Hi all,

I am new to the trade. I have been on a couple of introductory courses recently and I'm looking to start my own business within the trade this year at some point. To begin with I have a few jobs at home to do and a few for family and friends to gain more experience before trying to venture out into the big wide world.

what is the best primer to use for plasterboard that has had paint scraped off of it ? I currently have at home the following primer - Mapei Primer G.

is this good enough or do I need something else? on my courses we used BAL products for everything

I will probably be asking a few questions over the coming days / weeks so I will apologise in advance for pestering you guys to much now :)

this forum is brilliant I must say and have found out some very useful info from here already

If all the paints off - straight on.
If not - take the board off or overboard.
What size tiles are you using?

I would say 95% of the paint is off. I haven't done plaster boarding yet so until I do my next course which will be a while I wont know what to do. I was hoping I wouldn't have to

ceramic tiles 100 x 200 in size
