Didn't know the guy, he may have been really nice but the way he carried on here he just came across strange to say the least. I couldn't work him out one bit. As you say may be for the best, he will be on the plumbing forum by the end of the evening anyway:lol:

So now he's not going to have the forum to help him become a tiler, a bit worrying. I thought he'd stick the banter out to be honest.
I sort of agree with you Bri, i think everyone deserves a break and everyone asks a stupid question now and then but without sounding negative, do you really think Mr T was destined to become a tiler??

I'm not sure to be honest, without any sort of training it will never happen. Even a 4 week course would be a start but, he didn't even seem to want to do that. He definitely meant well and I hope he manages to make a living from tiling, it doesn't look likely though.

I think he wanted someone to put him on a course and when he did that he would get work. His own projects just smacked of "thanks for the advice but I want to cut corners"....nice enough kid in the real world but on here OTT.

Today while working for a client we talked about them taking someone on, they had a totally different business and asked if I knew anyone. I almost put his name forward but just thought I didnt want to get involved.
Anyway folks come and go, I am sure another one will be along soon.
