need help giving price for an insurance job 58mtrs removal exsisting tiles on concrete with gas underfloor heating through 3 rooms kitchen dinning room and large hall probably need to slc floor. then refit porcelain tiles not sure size yet probably 600x600 running through the three rooms and grout with movement joints were needed.need price for removal and all materials and refit please!

Just a question first, do you have problems pricing your work in general? I ask because as an established tiler I would have thought that all of that job would be extremely easy to price. What figure did you have in mind because then we will know if your on the right track, otherwise we are just doing your job for you.

Insurance jobs are always a pain as they want a figure set in stone for complete job.
On a 'usual' job, I tend to price lifting floors & prep by dayrate then give them a price to supply and fit 600's.

As a guide though, lift and remove tiles say 2 days @ £200 a day supplying kango.
Skip £200
Supply and lay SLC £350
Supply expansion joints, flexi addy & grout for 60m2 £500
Lay, grout (and seal) 30m2 of 600's £2000

That rounds up to £3500.
I know i wouldnt stand a chance in hell of getting it at thet price in our neck of the woods, but i dont much like insurance jobs. What where you thinking GR?
Plus it depends what you can get materials for, at those prices im making a fair bit on them as well.
