Hello from Sweden, new to the forum and wanting some advice. I'm just about to tile my new shower enclosure floor and having read pages and pages of posts regarding what grout to use (water resistant/epoxy) I was wondering if Sikaflex might be an alternative. I ask this because I imagine after a year or two the inevitable expansion and contraction of the tiles will produce hairline cracks in the tile - grout bond. I have made my own floor (suspended) and installed a LIP wet room system to walls and floor. So my question is,

Has anybody tried it, and what pro's & cons can you see for doing it ?

Very glad you guys are out there and I'm impressed with the effort you put into helping people out, (i read about 16 pages about a lady who's grout was damp, and some of you put in a huge effort to sort her problem).
Many thanks, Ken

Thanks for the welcome, I'm thinking of using Sikaflex 291i, I've used it before when I replaced the Teak deck in the cockpit of my boat. Excellent products, can be a bit messy if you are not careful. I will use the correct tile adhesive to fit the tiles as I am unsure of any reaction with the LIP floor sealing compound.
