when tiling a kithen floor should i tile under the cooker/washin machine or should i just tile up 2 it? the kithen unit's are already fitted but the cooker isn't

if they are integrated appliances you can get away with not tiling underneath because the kickboards will run across the bottom of the appliance, if they are free standing then tile underneath

the kicker boards will come off & it would look tidier than just tiling up 2 it!

Tiling under them helps access for servicing....tiling up to a machine can trap it......Gaz

always take the kickboards of, trying to get an integrated appliance out isnt as straight forward as freestanding ones, they can be fixed, so why make work hard for yourself

the kick board's aren't fitted yet so they need cutting any way and the cooker is a fitted 1 in which the kick board covers the bottom an the washin mashine isn't in place yet, would you advise i tile right back to the skirting or just underneath the front edge?

answers for
cooker & washing machine please (if different)

Cheers
Thanks for all reply's past an future

if the washing machines not fitted then tile the space, and just tile up to the legs under the cabinets, with the cooker leave in situ

Don't forget to check the height between the top of the washer and the worktop. look a bit daft if you can't get the washer back in after you have tiled it! Went to plumb a washer in once where they had to take the feet off to get it in!

you can always unscrew the plasic lid...gain (at least an inch)...you never heard it from me.......BUT SECURE THE TOP FROM FINGERS...Gaz
