Thinking of downgrading to an estate due to various factors in my life, any suggestions? Was thinking v70

Really Mark? That's a shame. I thought you were thinking of expanding to take on full fits?

How about a nice lada...

Im also thinking this but need to sell my combo first and then repair my impreza. A van is usefull but sometimes it can be a bit much if its your only vehicle.
I know they are slightly more expensive but consider an impreza/forester. I bought an old 93 impreza non turbo and its amazing, comfy ride and great handling. Will even carry 20 meters of tile and tools :yikes:

that's a medium term plan Gus. Short term all in needing is me and my tools. Only a small amount of materials if any!... V funny Dave but i do a appreciate a well engineered machine + my daughter would kill me lol

you need a van at all times !! Just look like an amateur otherwise, Ive never had the luxury of a car for 6 nearly 7 years now...

Even though I was a diehard VW fan for years I would say go for something jap. loads of features and bombproof motors

I got a Ssangyong korando .. £16k brand new. I have been very very impressed by it. Got it November .... Just going in for its first service at 12500miles..

That's nice Alan but id be scared to get it dirty. I need a ruff and ready, reliable female magnet that will see me right for next year or 2

i know what you are saying mate but people know what my work is like so I'm " hoping" the image thing wont be a problem

Ruff and ready it is... Perfect for site driving and great for the dog but a babe magnet.... Hmmm! If they were blind one legged and 19stone they might like it ....

What about a pickup? L200 or Navara? still give off the right message but a bit more friendly as a daily car

yep, would certainly consider both. Think i prefer the L200

The L200 require new engines after 100k. They are badly built engines. I do like the look of the L200. It's a shame the mechanical side is poor.

I'm currently on the lookout for a Double Crew Cab Navara at the mo. 2006/2007 silver manual with snug top. Around £7k mark. No rush for it though

glad of the advice Gus! The Navarra is a nice vehicle too, Prob ott for what i require though. Are you keeping the van too?

I fancy a pathfinder for my everyday car, same as a navara but with a proper boot and not a pickup. I'm suprised at the engine swap at 100k for the L200, mitsis are normally good mechanically.

What about an estate and a box trailer?
