It looks a really good job Russ, and as you say, slivers have to go somewhere, unless you set your floor out slightly off centre, then it would look rubbish,i think you took the best route

Has anyone or does anyone use the method i have described above for big floors...just want to know what you think.

I aint ever used it Brian mate, chances are i probably wont use it,maybe i am too OLD and set in stone, oops sorry, set in my ways lol

At least you are honest m8,but i really do hope people understand it and try it as myself and CHARLIE1 did a massive big floor in stirling and we used this and it was a life saver as you can lay all the field tiles one day ,come inthe next day and number all the cuts and fix them all at the same time ,which we found to be beneficial and saved a lot of time trying to mark tiles etc...but as i say it might only be beneficial on all the big jobs...i will try and post the picture.

i posted some pics above on,sorry i put them in the wrong place ...me and pc's= trouble...lol

brian thats the method floorlayers use when fitting amtico etc , but its a bit fiddly for ceramics , point to point marking like davy , rubi anglefinder for awkward cuts eg tiles on the 45o going into doorways..
