Cement film remover...

B&Q porcelain again. I'm not panicking yet. There's haze on the black tiles from the grout - they have dirty great big pores in them which have obviously caught loads of stuff despite having been cleaned with grimex then sealed twice before laying with LTP MPG. I have a bottle of Wickes cement film remover for stone tiles in the garage - I think it's only a year or so old - worth a shot or should I go and buy something a bit more reputable? Also, will it remove the sealer?

I imagine all cement film remover is the same (Phosphoric Acid i think), but i've no idea how long they last!?! Might be worth phoning one of the technical support lines for a different brand of remover (not much point phoning Wickes to be honest lol).

Ah, it'll probably be fine then - Jenolite's phosphoric acid, and that doesn't ever go off.

Bit of a contradiction in terms there! By that I mean are you sure it says for stone tiles?

Stone (not limestone/marble) and ceramic tiles - sorry - brain rambled on without my fingers following. Doesn't mention porcelain, but as it's clay based I'm guessing it's fairly acid resistant?

Just for everyone's info - just tested it using a scrubber for non-stick pans, worked a treat. :hurray:
