Well today i spent 4 hrs stuck with the back end of me van well and truly berried in the hedge,
left for work at 8am decided to leave later as we had snow all day yesterday, the roads diddnt look too bad any ways had to turn onto an a road snow not too bad then the road looked clearer came round a corner started going up hill accelerated to get some drive up the hill doing well van munching threw the snow in third gear at about 3000rpm hill getting steeper and steeper got round next corner could see the brow of the hill!
wheels start to spin eased of the revs now spinning and getting no traction down to second about 1500rpm no traction atall!
Van now going backwards and wheels going forwards :yikes::yikes:
decided to slap it into reverse as there is no way im going forward, The idea was slap it into reverse and back down the hill on tickover:lol:
But it stalled :mad2: now picking up speed sliding down the hill backwards i applied the brakes while trying to restart the engine anything to slow it down:thumbsdown: the only thing that stopped it was the hedge:mad2::mad2:
I walked to the farm down the road the farmer was unable to help as he couldnt get traction in his 4 wheel drive tractor!
Then a parcel force van decided to join me narrowly missing my van:smilewinkgrin: then mr pc plod came to have a look! he kept me amused untill the highways agency turned up with shovels and salt and with everyones pushing and shoveing eventually we were both free:thumbsup:Under the snow there was a solid bed off ice which was an inch thick!
main roads only for me now, but at least there wasnt too much damage to the van:thumbsup:

I got stuck today when finishing a job of in a old poeples home i had to get 3 old blokes to push me out

it's nearly all thawed round our way now, can actually see some grass in the fields:thumbsup:

I won't be getting stuck in the snow any time soon

Wakened this morning.thought lovely- first day back hopefully.looked out! Bloody snowed in again.very bad and was still snowing bad.it never stopped till 4pm! Unbelievable.it has stopped now so fingers crossed tomorrow will be me started.have enough on to get going for a month or so now.

Every day for the past fortnight I've cleaned and salted the customers road so I could park the van safely as it's on a bend and on a bank. Today, the customer cleaned his own path! and piled it so I couldn't get the van anywhere near!! I was fuming!!!
