Advice Needed - Best Method To Cut Crackle Glaze Tiles

Do any of you have any experience in cutting crackle glaze ceramic tiles? what methods have you tried and which one works best for you? Guidence on both straight cuts and angles would be appreciated.

We have lots of people stuggle with cutting, due to the excess chipping. Obviously with the nature of the tile, this will happen. But i'm looking for the most efficient and neatest way possible, that keeps the chipping to a minimum.

A wet cutter with a decent continuous rim blade.

If there is a really thick glaze such as some of the Jackfield tile museum products it might even be worth trying a glass or mosaic blade.

I had good success on a wet-cutter, continuous blade, and cutting the tiles FACE DOWN.

Interesting.........the few crackle glazed tiles I've done I have done in the conventional way. Score and snap for straights and my angle grinder

Suppose it depends on how thick the glaze is and depth of crackle.

If you wet cut them then make sure you dry off the tile as quickly as you can. The muddy water will get under the glaze and your customer will not be too happy.
