Discuss 900x600 20mm Porcelain on a terrace 130mts in the Canada Tile Advice area at TilersForums.com.

One Day

Just as a final note in case anyone reads this in future though...

I'd always want to include something (like the Gutjahr Watec / Ditra drain) which uncouples and drains.
The risk in UK is water retention and frost/thaw damage, so shifting as much underlying water as possible is key to a long lasting installation.
If the job was water-sensitive stone, then a better system is needed with active drainage instead of passive.

This says it all Lol Thanks for your email and hope you guys are doing well? All is good here, but there has been a change of plan on the patio, due to the drainage and potential movement challenges that a conventional tiled solution would have cause us, we were advised this was not the best route to take. Instead we have screeded it with falls with drainage installed centrally and will use a Eterno adjustable tile pedestal to support the tiles, allowing a 30mm void below and scope for movement of the tiles and allowing for futuremaintenance. I’m afraid this means we don’t need you guys to tile these areas for us, but we will be in contact for any other area son tiling as we were happy with what you guys did for us last year.
