Hi,
Just wondering if any of you have any ideas as to what I can use to stop water spraying everywhere on my Plasplugs wet cutter.
I ripped the guard off the other day in frustration, damn thing was a pain in the butt, more trouble than its worth...just working out what I can put in place of it, if at all possible...not looking at the safety aspect, just dont want to be covered in water and sludge.
Cheers.
Vin.

Lol! I love the pinny but is that john peel in the mask?

Use it dry? I use mine dry unless of course your doing a large job with it. Blades dont last as long but its a lot quicker cleaning up at the end of the day and you dont lookd like you wet yourself!

1st throughly spray the wheel with wd40 or similar on both sides and all over, then get some Silicon sealant and caulk around the slot the wheel sits in. As the sealant dries make sure the wheel can moves freely and that you havent put too much Silicon on above the bed.

another way is to attach a few strips of sponge under the bed on either side of the wheel.

Cut backwards... as in pull the tile towards you from the back, not push the tile through that way you won't get wet

:lol:Ha ha, cheers guys, some great ideas,, already have an apron coming, nearly went to my local sex shop for a kinky one, but thought id try ebay first lol...as for the helmet,,nuff said.
Vin:lol:

Yeah ive started cutting backwards now and its much better, should have done that ages ago,,thing is the water still sprayed, but I leant up a piece of board and a towel for it to run onto.

If i use mine without he guard i cant cut backwards as the water shoots straight up in the air from the back of the wheel?

My solution is going to be the De walt D24000, coming soon!!!
