I think the word is Cavernous !

Should have hidden the electric shower in it.

I know manufacturers are now addressing the problem of asthetics with these things but they are still ugly imo.

Hi guys

I especially like the recess with the single blue light to the right of the exposed therm shower valve Sean FSY

Also impressive is Sean Page - Kabenza's shower panel in darker tiling with the blue lights

It's good to see that there is a bunch of us on this forum that are proud of our work and are prepared push the design limits to the edge. Creative and Inovative is the way forward and sets us apart from the Joe Soaps out there.

Keep it up

:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Hi Bolter

I've sent a pic of the porthole you asked for but it not on the thread so I guess its lost in the ether

I'll try again. The hardwood circular window does not get wet at all- We had plan to create a semi circle of 10mm glass, supended from a s/s 25mm pin at the top but was not necesary in the end.

The circular reveal annd complete walls were tanked in membrane sheet and sealed. The B......dy Mosaics were a nightmare however its OK now its finished

Also enc a 45 deg angled wet room - No niche as such but we made an Iroko tray for my customer and a matching seat in Iroko -

I'm absolutely niched now:19:

Hi TommyZooom

Is that Travertine you used on the bath panel / top etc ?

What made you decide to use Aluminium Trim rather than mitre and round-over the corner joints and top edges - Was this decision the customer's own. ?

Love the walk in shower - What make was the base and walls - We use a simlar one. Nice

Remember if you're adding spotlights & LED's then we have the correct size holesaws and core drills to cut the tile.

With so many sizes of LED we carry a comprehensive range to match your clients purchase.

Hi, Trav yes, Customers own choice to use the trim as she wanted to put the marble mosaics on the top of the bath, window cill etc and the trim added a bit of protection, I did offer to put trav on top and bullnose it but she wouldn't have it,the back of the niche is removable for access to pump btw

The shower was wedi I think, niche was custom made to fit in the void

Little one i done this week. always nice to prepare the hole yourself and not one where the joiners have pre done it not realising where the tiles are going to sit. Tried to get it nice and central inbetween 4 tiles. pretty easy to do if you have the tiles there when preparing.Sorry about quality, done on my phone:

Sean I love those niche lights! Now I'm looking at my old work and thinking I could have raised the bar.

Lighting options for shampoo niches is going on the list of luxury upgrades for sure. What are the brand or brands of lighting your using? Have you run across any inspection issues?

Nice work.

Does anybody in UK supply Niche formers to accept tiles. I know they are available in the US. Could knock one up but a factory product must be preferable?

thx

R

Nice Niche!

I especially liked the middle one with the thicker profile ledge. Nice touch !

Three in this job, (big one is a window). Black ceramics, chrome trim and the inner of the niche is polished porcelain (same as the floor). Downlighter in each one.

Hey guysWhat is the best way t make a niche in a stud wall... Before putting up marmox boards? Can anyone give a bit of a step by step?Or should I buy pre formed ones?ThanksDave

Don't waste money, just build it with wood and the same board. Least if you build it yourself you can position it centrally or to match your tiles, not the other way on.

Be carefull that star fish doesnt drop on your head and do some damage!
