I think that sounds sensible - the main tile is a small white honeycomb, which doesn't edge very neatly, so a trim would help.

It is! I'm having a boat renovated, and the project manager is humming and haaing about whether we can use glass in the niche, which is the finish I'm looking for, and he wanted more detail about how to do it. We'll use a glazier and a tiler who hopefully will know what they're doing....if I can get the project manager to agree it's possible in the first place. Your info has been very useful in making the case, thanks!
