I've only skimmed this thread, but speaking as a lucky past winner, I feel that generally the kudos is worth more than the prize. Yes, I was lucky enough to win a bathboard (and it has been very handy) but the fact that I can advertise to fellow forum tilers and potential customers that I am a previous JOTM winner is sufficient praise. I no longer enter for a few reasons.

The prize is very nice and IMO should just be awarded as any other months prize, I just hope there are some stunning entries to justify the reward.

I think it is a good idea job of the year and it may actually encourage people to enter job of the month. as wining job of the month is a requirement to entering job of the year. this is to see what job is the best of the best. You could even put up now prize at all just the status of having don the best job that year.

one question- how many has storage for a pallet of 48 bags? lol.
next months comp is a good idea,its a hell of a prize so the competition would be hot.

If you haven't got storage (and 48 bags might sound a lot but it's shed worthy providing you keep it within the right temperature so you don't ruin it) then consider getting one of those "self storage" type things to keep it in. If anybody is in or around stoke and wins it then I'd keep it for you in my garage and give you a key so you don't need to wake me up to get it lol

Sorry to say this...but if the winner is outside of the united kingdom/Great Briton, then the prize cannot be delivered and thus it will roll over into the next month.

But please do not let this stop over seas members from entering.. as Kudos is a good prize as well.
