Hi Dave,

Hopefully Wivers will stop by and let me know about his experience with the truck.

CJ, that is NOT the kind of feature I'm looking for in a work truck. :whatchutalkingabout

Hey Dave,

I didn't get anything on that link. I tried a search and didn't find anything by Wivers about his van other than the posts about when he was getting it.

Man, that is TOO funny! Wivers, I've had a few days like that as well.

This is a little off topic of the van, but I just have to know what "the skip" is?

"....and get told off by painter for leaving a turd in a bucket on the skip!!":lol::lol:

Skip is a large builders rubbish container.
Dont you call it a "Dumpster"?

 OK, got it! Yes, we call them either a dumpster or a roll-off. They are shaped differently but I get the picture. Maybe I need to start another thread here so you Brits can translate terms for me. :thumbsup:I also read that Wivers said his day "was pants". I guess this is bad, but I'm interested in the origin of the slang. In another post, I learned that a "punter" is a customer, which of course to us here in the US "punt" and "punter" mean something else entirely.

Just shout out rob if you come across a word that puzzles you......wivers is a funny guy and you will come across his humour right across the forums....

I can't read the post.
Oh and VW transporter, best van in the world.

I have a transit connect. Bought the LWB High roof one as it holds 950ish kgs. So far Im really pleased. Everything still works great, everything you could need is in the van. Lots of storage cubbys, decent stereo, electric everything. Quick clear windscreen and heated mirrors. Seat is fully adjustable and comfy and has a kick *** armrest 🙂

Had it new since April and have done 14k miles. Bridgestone tyres look great still, and Im due to put it in for its first service.

Really pleased.

Hi Adam,

Thanks for the info. What motor do you have? They say that the only one that will be available here is a small gas four banger...I think ~2.4 liter. I'm wondering how that does moving the vehicle and its payload? Also, the vans will only be available with automatics.

From what I've been told from a mate who lives in New Mexico that the vehicles from ford are tested on the european market as a test area:huh2:
