Which grout / adhesive

I'm helping to extend and renovate my parents house and we have got to the stage where I need to start buying tiles, grout and adhesive.

I have a hallway, bathroom and a shower room to tile.

The floor tiles are all 600 x 600 rectified full porcelain tiles
The bathroom has crackle glazed metro wall tiles
and the showerroom has 200x300mm wall tiles porcelain

Bathroom tiles will be against hardiebacker that has been tanked.

My main aim is to have things that will last a long time with the least amount of issues.

What would be the best grout and adhesive people would recommend for theses tiles?

Currently looking at MAPEI kerapoxy (seems that this can be used as grout and adhesive) or keraflex and BAL micromax2

A bit concerned that if i went down the epoxy route that my tiler would have problems as he has no experience with the product.

Is their anything else I would need to purchase appart from the grout / adhesive?

Any advice would be great.

I would speak to the tiler first. If hes any good he will know what to use and were a fickle bunch we all prefer to use what we know best..

Yeah speak with your tiler first, like Andy says we all have our prefered materials we like to work with. Personally i hate Bal Micromax, although it's a fantastic product and Bal is one of the best on the market i never use it as i cant stand the way it mixes or spreads, but other tilers will love the way it mixes and spreads..... What you do need to know is that any of the stuff he does suggest needs to be flexible (both the grout and adhesive) as you are using porcelain, but if your tiler is a tiler then he will know this.

I could be wrong here but it sounds like you may be slightly worried about your tiler, if so you should be asking to see previous work and speak to previous customers. Chances are he's a good lad but best to check it out.
