What Grout is best for shower

D

Hi can someone tell me best grout to use in shower area and waiting time before use please. (The tiles are ceramic

Some excellent quality grouts available so this is going to be down to personal preference. For me, if it's stocked nearby you can't go wrong with Tilemaster Grout 3000. It'll do narrow or wide joints, is flexible, good range of colours with matching silicones and is nice and easy to use. Ultra would be my second choice. Another good grout with matching Silicon but I find it goes off quick which if you're new to tiling/grouting you may find hard work.

Grout is usually personal preference. Just see what you've got local to you.

Is it walls and floor? Or just walls?

I always use BAL, only cos I've been registered with TOPPS and its easy to get hold of for me.
Depends what colour and grout width too don't forget!

Thanks for replys uv tried to get hold of tilemaster 3000 but no one stocks it anywhere near to Wolverhampton only can get by delivery next week and I need to do this weekend or my bags will be packed lol. The tiles are on shower wall 20sqm with 3mm joints and are a beige colour so should I go white or beigh? What do you think off Mapei ultra colour plus!

Ultra Colour is a good grout.
Their silicones match their grouts perfectly. That's a lovely feature with Mapei grouts. No other firm does that.

Colour is down to the customer I wouldn't even get involved. Ask them, and go with that.

It's my own bathroom Dan and not sure what colour grout with the tiles already looking beige

I wouldn't say matching grout.

Bring the colour out by using white.

I like bal and Tilemaster. But for a shower, especially a wet room type, you can't beat Webber. It sets very hard and is smooth. Others are a bit too sandy. IMHO

White is good. Did my kitchen with beige tiles and white grout. White lifts it, but beige grout would make it dull. I use Bal normally. It gives you more time to work with it, with Mapei you need to work faster.
