van alarms ,locks or both any reccomendations?

hi all, some scumbag attempted to break into my van last night outside my house but luckily didnt succeed, crowbar wedged in the back door and has bent it so am looking to get an alarm,extra lock or both has any one any reccomendations on good ones

also any ideas on costs for alarm systems?

You could also consider a van vault for sticking the expensive stuff in.

I have these types of locks on the side & back door

Loom protectors on rear doors & Cobra alarm with 2 bright flashing LED's rigged to air horns.

I've been done before. Never again!

I do everything myself lol. Dead easy mate. Tbh, you need to buy the bolts, nuts, washers etc separate & they cost more than the damn locks but worth it in the end. I just painted mine to blend in with the van

on my van I have a "pager" alarm system from Clifford..........it cost about a grand..............

But, the fob on my keys will chirp the alarm if the van is in trouble.........(up to 2 miles!!!!!!!)......

I was behind a van today that had a new type of lock similar to that, but it was anodised and less bulky. Looked solid too

In Spain the tilers protect their vans very well.

I have to say that a pal of mine fits locks for a living............and he has a saying..............recites it quite regularly.....

"a lock only keeps an HONEST man out!"..........and to prove a point one day......he decided to break into my house.......

and my flat has a "multi lock" system............6 point locking system controlled by one key.......he used a tool he had in his van and snapped my lock barrel in half.....took him 20 sec's topps....

removed the barrel and let himself in...........then replaced my locks with something more "suitable" shall we say!
