Good afternoon all. I'm am a complete beginner to the tiling game and have decided to give it a go for once. It's one of the things I have always wanted to learn.

I'm going to be tiling my kitchen floor. I'm after as much advise and guidance as possible so please hit me.

We have vinyl floor over concrete in a new build. I plan on taking up the vynil. My questions n is 2 parts.

1. Should I PVA after taking up the vynil.
2. Is flexible grout needed?

Many thanks all

Hi,

A good quality tile primer should be used (sbr for example) mixed as per instructions, a flexible adhesive (S1 or S2) and a flexible grout should also be used, maybe even think about using a de-coupling membrane.

What do you recon is Tue best option? Taking Tue old vinyl up or tiling over it. The dogs ate some of it so there is a hole.
