2. Is flexible grout needed?

Many thanks all

Hi,

A good quality tile primer should be used (sbr for example) mixed as per instructions, a flexible https://www.tilersforums.com/forums/tile-adhesive/ (S1 or S2) and a flexible grout should also be used, maybe even think about using a de-coupling membrane.

What do you recon is Tue best option? Taking Tue old vinyl up or tile over it. The dogs ate some of it so there is a hole.
