Discuss Tiles of different thicknesses - can they lay together? in the Canada Tile Advice area at TilersForums.com.

Am about to order some porcelain super black nano polished 600x600x10 from 'tile HQ' to lay in the kitchen.
MOH has now said she wants to mix them with a couple of starlight quartz spread thru out the kitchen. Only problem is they are 12mm thick.

If i was to put down a thick layer of adhesive and then use the tile levellers that are available on the market such as
ATR tile leveller or the Raimondi system.

The tiles will be sitting on an electric UFH system.

Last thing, whats the consensus on the tiles from tile HQ.

Thanks
ubdai

Use a 12 mm trowel and skim the back of your main tiles this should allow you enough of depth to fix your feature tiles! You'll maybe need an extra bag of addy though!
