All bathrooms require holes to be drilled into the tiles to fit a range of
fixtures and fittings.

Common sizes of rawl plugs are 5mm, 6mm, 7mm, 8mm,

At 365Drills we have simplified the sizes to
6mm (red plugs) standard fittings
and
8mm (brown plugs) heavy duty load bearing items.

toiletrollholder.jpg

In the example above you can see the requirement for both types.

The loo roll holder will need 2 x 6mm holes for red rawl plugs.
redplug.jpg

The radiator above will need heavy duty 8mm holes x 4 holes to support its weight on the wall.

Its amazing how many holes you will need to drill in an average sized bathroom. We have counted and found the number to be about 30 holes.

contemporary_bathroom.jpg

The average tiled bathroom can required over 30 holes to be drilled
into either soft ceramic or hard porcelain tiles.

To make life easy we have introduced a multipack deal for professional installers which includes 1 x 6mm pack and 1 x 8mm pack.
Seperate selling price is a value for money £29.99 per pack.

But at 365Drills we are providiing a bundle deal where both packs will cost £49.99 saving £10.

That works out a cost of £6.25 per diamond core, hole-saw or drill bit. We use commercial strength diamond bonding on our steel shanks. This provides for a more durable diamond core.

However the rules are simple for drilliing holes into porcelain and ceramic tiles.
1) Drill slowly.
2) Use a light pressure
3) Apply water to the core. Never run dry.

Use water when drilling (we also supply cooling sponges)

tile_drill5.jpg

To drill a 6mm or 8mm hole into a tile use the yellow guide plate
(supplied) to prevent slipping on the tile.

tile_drill18.jpg

Once started the guide can be removed and the diamond core
tile drill can be placed back into the preformed slot in the porcelain
tile. Rotate the core hole saw on drill speed setting one.

sponge3.jpg

And dont forget to cool the diamond core drill bit hole-saw with the water sponge by placing it onto the ceramic or porcelain tile and next to the diamond core.

In addition to the cores above we also sell a full kit which includes
all the other diamond holesaws for standard service pipes like
radiators, shower heads, 22mm pipes, waste 32mm pipe etc.

the professional tiler, plumber, builder and installer.

drill bits for tiles at great value for money and she appears on the front landing page of 365drills.com

working at the show Grand Designs to show how easy tile drilling is.

No drilling solution is complete without a water cooling idea.
At 365Drills we provide a water sponge which removes dust exposure for the installer,
collects the dust from the diamond core tile drill AND keeps your work site clean and tidy. Nice!

The diamond core drills remove a small plug of tiles.
See photo above and the bottom left hole.
A small central core of tile is being formed.

To remove the spent core from the diamond tile drill bit simply use the J-hook.

This made-in-england item compliments the tile drilling system from 365Drills.

Use the J-hook to push out the tile core from inside the diamond tile drill bit.
