As kids we used to play 'dare' curling our fingers around an electric fence :20:..can still feel it hurt right up my arm just thinking of it... not nice...but, I would have been apalled if any guards would have done that to my child..:ban:

We used to take new recruits to the morg, place one of us on a sliding table in the fridge, then when the attendant couldn't get the rolling tables where the died lay out, get the newbie to crawl in to release it, the door was then shut and the officer on one of the tables would say laodly..HELLO............the newbie would then scream....................oh the police days............

I was surprised to hear about this until I read the story and saw that this happened in Florida.

Reminds me when I used to work as an engineer for a large Aerospace and Defence company.

One chap who worked in the moulding shop, with access to various materials. showed a school kid on work experience how to make a death star. It was just a bit of fun really.

......Until said 15 year old schoolboy's 8 year old brother was seen playing it by their mum!

Within minutes the company had received a complaint, which was duly investigated.

The operator concerned was very lucky to keep his job. He was give a final written warning and told that if he misbehaved again within 12 months, he would be out. To be fair that really made him grow up a lot.

Later he started dating one of the female engineers I used to work with, they got married and had children - talk about boy to man!

CC, what company was it? I had an apprenticeship with a company called Hi Temp Engineers Ltd in Fareham, Hants. They made re=fueling systems for the aircraft industry. I did my fitting & turning, then full fitting bay, sheet metal bay then I was the spot & seam weld man.
