Hi everyone,

Im after advice tilling my kitchen walls behind hob, sink and under wall cabinets. I have two questions if you would be so kind to help.

do I centre behind the hob or centre the wall?

Im using 300x100 tiles in brick bond pattern if I centre the hob then it leaves 40mm slithers on the ends every other row if I centre the wall it leaves full tiles at the ends but is obviously out behind the hob. This is the longest wall.

Secondly the adjacent wall has a sink and window so do I wrap around the tiles or pick up a new centre behind the sink or window matching smaller tiles with smaller tiles of adjacent wall?

I know I won't get everything centred just wandering what is best?

Thanks

Paul

The answer is.....whatever looks best.

Personally I do not get over concerned with brick bond corner layouts as you can always hide ugly corners with kitchen items, so I usually centre behind the hob and the window but you still have to check for silly cuts around windows.

As with Tom really , the hob opening and windows etc are focal points. If the 40mm cut is at the wall ends , then try to wrap the tile around the corner If you have a returning wall.
