Was speaking to a workmate about a mixer shower being fitted and plastering the pipe chase before tiling over it. Can i use tile adhesive to fill in the pipe chase and if so would I only use adhesive or would I pack it with something else??

BAL Green Star adhesive I bought yesterday.

Cheers

wouldn't be using green star on a shower area, would use grip or white star(easier to use)

If you used tubbed adhesive to fill the chased out pipework it would never set. You could use a rapid set cement based adhesive if you really needed to. Dont forget to prime (not PVA) 1st.
White star would be suitable for the shower area but i would prefer cement based adhesive.
