Just got the wife a pup..

had a black lab for 14 years, great dogs, good choice for a family pet as well Dave, or is it gonna help with your shooting pastime. I'm wanting another black lab, Mrs Doug wants a Bassett, what cropped up in the pet rescue section of local paper last week? a black lab/bassett X, only problem it's 8 yo which makes it a mobile (ish) vet bill!!

Just for a pet doug.....company for wife during the day...with her not bieng able to work anymore she gets bored...so a pup will keep her busy for sure...:lol:

Why men have dogs and not wives.
1. The later you are home the more excited they are to see you.
2. Dogs don't notice if you call them by another name.
3. Dogs like it if you leave your clothes all over the floor.
4. A dogs parents never visit.
5. Dogs agree that you have to raise your voice to get your point over.
6. You never have to wait for a dog, they are ready to go 24hrs a day.
7. Dogs find you amusing when your drunk.
8. Dogs like to go hunting and fishing.
9. A dog will not wake you up in the night to ask, if i died would you get another dog?
10. If a dog has babies you can sell them.
11. A dog will let you put a studded collar on it without calling you a pervert.
12. If a dog smells another dog on you they don't get mad they just think its interesting.
13. Dogs like to ride in the back of a pickup truck.
14. And if a dog leaves, it wont take half the house.

they say you only ever av one dog that means the world to you mine was a lurcher called rocky most useless workin dog i ever had but boy could he drink many a time i carried him home from the pub and wot ear ache did we get . 16 when he died and did i cry

update on maizie our pup....she has had her first injection and didn't like that...

We have 3 dogs here too,nice one Dave,
of course on top of that we have a pony,5 cats,a snake,a tortoise,3 fish and i know im leavin something out!!!! lol. too many mouths to feed.
