Welcome Greg.

It can be quite daunting starting out for yourself. Quite a broad question you're asking, but the best thing for you to do is to trawl the forum for the answers you seek and if you can't find them then post a new thread.

Hi and welcome to the forum Greg.
Put together a portfolio of your work and your cards and go knock on every door that sells tiles.
Introduce yourself and your work, and ask if they’ve any displays they want changing or Tiling needed in the store. Quite often in tile shops they have multi tile floors to show their products and some change them regularly. Get to know them, build relationships.

Getting to know the folks at your local tile shops is a must mate, creating a Facebook business page is also good so you can put up pictures of your work, and put free ads on the local facebay sites every once in. A while to get your name seen and heard of. O now use joist app for quotes and invoices, it's easy to use look good and it's free.

Slightly off topic but a large Devon/South West based tiling contractor went **** up this week and I am sure there will be firms clambering for tilers soon.

Try and get some local info on them and get to know the local tilers and see what they know to see if they can get you a start up with another firm, albeit sub-contracting.

Hello and welcome, as mentioned above get out and get to know local tile shops and pop your cards in, and set up a Facebook business page is very helpful in getting your name out in the local area.
I’m sure ignore you have time to look on here you will find some threads covering this.

@Greg123 contact DIY SOS as they have a build near you soon. Using that as a marketing tool would be great. If you got onto the build you could feature it on your social media marketing and contact the local rags who could write an article.

Something which is important is to get your estimates/quotes right . Make it clear what you are going to do and what you are not going to do . That is if you are doing a kitchrn floor , are you going to cut down plinth , remove and refit white goods , shorten doors. That just an example but you can see what sort if thing you have to consider .
